About

My name is Jennifer (of course it is, I was born in the early seventies).

This is my foray into the world of blog.

I am a marketing gal, freelance writer and mother of two. Sweetie boy is 8, Blondie is 6. I was a stay-at-home mom for 7 years and now I’m back on the clock part-time.

I always have more going on than I can successfully handle, yet I can’t seem to break that cycle.

I love to write.

I love my daughter’s crazy outfits of jeggings (yes, jeggings), mismatched socks and a whole lotta age-appropriate bling. She has the best laugh in the universe.

I love that my son is now as big a Star Wars fan as my husband and my house is littered with Star Wars ships and 5 billion Star Wars legos. He has 3 homemade short feature films in the can already (I get credit as cameramom). I plan to send them to George Lucas at some point.

I spend a fair amount of time bargain shopping for clothes and accessories (shoes, shoes shoes). I have a “bag of bags” (with a decent collection of vintage evening bags that were all under $5). You can borrow one any time you like.

I dance at the gym, in my living room and anytime and anywhere that it’s mildy appropriate to do so.  I like to flip my hair around when I do too. It’s seriously big hair. And I’m 40 now. So why the heck not!?

I have a percolator that I adore. If you come to my house, I will offer you coffee.

You get the idea.

I hope HeyGirl makes you laugh, inspires you to do something for yourself, or sparks an idea…or at least directs you to some super cute new shoes or a fun movie.

And if you read something on these pages that really speaks to you…I’d love to know about it.

Enjoy!

J
